OUR RESPONSE TO COVID

As we continue to experience and combat the COVID-19 pandemic we want to reiterate LIME’s commitment to FRESH, which includes a constant and increased focus on the health, happiness and well-being of our guests, team members, and community. 

We continue to monitor the CDC and WHO guidelines and adhere to national and local mandates and evolve as needed. Here are some of the internal practices we have implemented: 

 

NO MASK. NO TACOS. 

As of September, 2020 all of our locations are open and require masks to be properly worn at all times by all team members, and by all guests when using the common areas of ordering, using the restroom, soda machine, etc. 

 

HEALTH SCREENINGS AND EDUCATION FOR TEAM MEMBERS

We have a strict and logged system checking all employees for any signs of illness, which  include the current CDC recommended screening questions and temperature checks. 

Prior to re-opening and at the introduction of each “phase” of the government’s easing of restrictions, an all team meeting is held  to inform the entire staff  of the then current standards that need to be followed. 

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDES 

Signage has been placed throughout all locations to encourage and enforce social distancing. These measures include; 

 

  • A large and visible sign at entry with COVID procedures, as well as signs at Sanitizer Stations, Register Area, Salsa Bar, Soda Machine, and Bathroom Signage to encourage hand washing and signage for paper towels to open the door. 
  • Floor clings for register line that are 6ft apart
  • A floor plan of seating adhering to the more stringent social distancing standards and “This table closed” tables signs to avoid confusion. 
  • We have an identified employee whose responsibility is to manage the guests coming into the restaurant ensuring social distancing is maintained and masks are worn. They will also be available to answer questions and direct people to the menu and/or process.

 

CONTACTLESS ORDERING AND PAYMENT 

All restaurants have either installed or have plans to install menu boards to replace print menus. In addition, all print menus have been replaced with one-time paper menus and a method to dispose of them at the point(s) of use that does not require anyone else to touch them.

We also have a new LIME App where you can order and pay through the app without any contact which is available for download on both the Apple App store and Google Play store. 

 

FOOD PREP AND SAFETY MEASURES 

 

Following the guidance of the CDC and WHO guidelines, all team members are required to properly wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds before preparing or eating food. Note: we enforce 30 seconds. 

All team members coming in contact with guests or food are required to wear gloves.  We have a color coded glove system for additional safety. 

We have installed shields at all registers to protect team members and guests from direct exposure. You can still see us wink tho 🙂 

Free standing and/or contactless hand sanitizer dispenser  placed at the inside of each entrance, at the salsa and soda stations and other areas. 

 

REMOVAL OF HIGH TOUCH AREAS AND/OR ITEMS 

 

Until further notice, our self-serve salsa bar has been closed and replaced by single serve salsa available by request. Don’t worry though, it’s still all made from scratch and so dang good!

We have also removed table numbers, napkin holders and any hot sauce caddies.  

No self-serve plastics, lids, straws, salsa cups & lids. But just ask and you shall receive! 

Hands-free door openers  installed,  wherever possible,  

 

ADVANCED CLEANING AND DISINFECTING 

 

All tables and chairs are cleaned and disinfected between each guest. 

High contact surfaces need to be disinfected at least once per hour.  

After the guest has left and the table cleaned, we sanitize the table following the procedures appropriate for your available product. Then we place a “tent” indicating that the table is ready for use.
